Three Tips For Booking Low Fare Air Tickets

When it comes to traveling for vacation or a business trip, everyone seeks to find low fare air tickets. If you are able to find the low airfares, it could mean that you would be able to save hundreds or thousands of rupees. However, most people don't know how to find the lowest airfare. The following tips will help you get the lowest possible air tickets, if you are ready to make some extra efforts for it.

The first thing to do is to book your air tickets at least 6 weeks in advance. Usually, it is going to cost you the lowest possible price for the ticket. It could be less by 10% to 20% or even more compared to the average airfare. Usually, most people book their international air tickets fares within a month of traveling, and thus pay higher than what they could save if they could have booked the tickets more than a month ago. At the same time, keep in mind that it is not a 100% strategy that will help you get the discount. It is more or less a “trend.” Airlines are could offer important deals almost all the time. However, there is a trend of 40-plus days where the savings are most for travelers.

The second strategy for cheap air tickets online booking is to look for low-cost airlines. Make use of comparison websites, but it is not essential that they do all the deep search for you. There are certain low-cost airlines in the skies that don't let their airfares to be published on the more popular comparison sites. Therefore, you must check the individual sites of these low-cost airlines. It is a little intensive task, but you could end up saving a lot of money. These airlines usually don't have those additional charges like a high baggage-check that increase the ticket costs. Keep in mind that there are some tactics used by airlines on a budget to keep the airfare low.

If your traveling plan allows it, choose the cheapest day of the week to fly. Usually, it is Wednesday for both domestic and international flights. This is because it is the day having the most number of vacant seats. Airlines are ready to offer higher discounts to fill these vacant seats. As the Indian and global airlines are already feeling the pressure of economic slowdown, they have to offer low fare air tickets to ensure that their fleets are not flying empty. Saturday and Tuesday are the other days when you can find cheap flights. However, Sundays have the most expensive flights. Use these strategies when booking your air ticket. They can mean saving a lot, and if you are lucky, the savings could be more than 20%.
