Tips For A Safe And Enjoyable Nepal Trekking Experience

Safety should always be your number #1 concern no matter wherever you are traveling in the world. Just like that, besides adventure and enjoyment, being secure is what you should be conscious of when trekking in Nepal. Here in this post, we will talk about a few tips on how to trek securely around the foothills of Nepal Himalayas.

Get accompanied by someone:

Well, Nepal trekking with someone you know makes you feel safe and happy. It'd not be a considerable worry if you're with your family or friends; but even if you're traveling sole, having the company of an expert trekking guide will be very useful en route. You'll get a helping hand every step of the way. From simply providing you a bottle of drinking water, dry fruits, chocos to assisting you in carrying your luggage if altitude sickness or ankle sprain takes place to you.

Stick to high side on route:

Walking on narrow trekking trails should be done carefully with all of your senses open & attentive. Watch your steps forward; keep your ear open every time to ringing bells on the neck of passing animals. When you notice a mule, yak or any other creature passing on the same route you're in, always take a step forward to ignore collision & fall down. You should be more cautious & attentive when such creatures carrying loads in the same direction as you are traveling. You can definitely shoot some pictures but never strive to touch them or behave anything goofy.

Get climate updates:

Without any notice, clear sun shining morning can change into cloudy and dark afternoon. Snowfall is normal during winter and autumn months from October-December. You must have read news that 20 hikers lost their lives while crossing Thorong La pass during intense snowfall. Hence, try to be alert on recent climate updates. If climate is bad don't get out of your tea house. And follow the instruction of your guide as he'll be in contact with locals to get regular climate & safety updates.

Well prepare passing high passes:

Additional precautions should be taken while trekking through the higher elevations, passing high passes. Higher altitudes make you more vulnerable to altitude sickness, more possibilities of avalanches, rock falls and landslides. Hence, always drink sufficient water to keep yourself hydrates & safe from altitude sicknesses.

So, there are the few tips that you want to keep in mind while opting for a Nepal trek adventure so, that you return home with some good memories.
