Everglades National Park

Biscayne National Park

Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park is another acclaimed campground in Miami, nestled at the northern edge of Key Biscayne. It's a serene place that also boasts panoramic views of Biscayne Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. Along with camping in this tranquil retreat, you can also enjoy cycling, kayaking and kayaking, and explore the park on land and water. If you don't want to cook your own food, Boater's Grill, the onsite restaurant can serve you all three meals. You can make your reservations up to 2 months in advance and bundle that with your cheap flight to Miami to save time and money.
Larry & Penny Thompson Campground
Sprawled on 270 acres of woodland, Larry & Penny Thompson Campground features about 240 campsites, especially for RVs. In South Miami, the campground is situated near Miami Zoo and boasts electrical and water connections, picnic spots, laundry machines, and restrooms. There is a vast freshwater lake with a gorgeous beach, volleyball courts, and waterslide.
Oleta River State Park
Situated near Miami's Sunny Isles Beach, Oleta River State Park is one of Florida's largest urban parks. It features extensive mountain biking trails and also offers kayak and canoe rentals that you can include in your camping tour and make it all the more fun. You will find 14 small cabins for tents with restrooms with hot showers nearby. There are a few picnic pavilions and grills that you can use if you are traveling with a group or your family. The cabins can be booked for a minimum of two days and reservations can be made up to 11 months in advance, giving you plenty of time to find a budget-friendly Miami flight deal.
