Top 7 Things You Need to Know For The First Time Air Travel

If you get these things right, no one can stop you from making the most of your first air travel.

  • Book a ticket: If you are planning a trip, choose one of the best vacation package deals online and book air ticket at least a month before the trip. This way you will get cheap airline ticket. It is advisable to book and pay flight tickets online.
  • Luggage packing: Once you book your tickets, make sure you pack luggage that meets airline requirements. Also, make sure you lock your check-in bags properly. Also, make sure you put all the important things that you might need during the flight in your hand luggage.
  • Web check in: Do the web check-in a day prior to your flight. This will save your time on the day of flight and will also help you choose the desired seats.
  • Before you leave from home: Make sure you are carrying your ticket, photo ID and all the required documents. Also, check terminal and gate number from which you will have to enter the airport. The most importantly. Arrive at the airport early.
  • On arrival at the airport:
  1. Check in: Get boarding pass, give check-in luggage, keep hand luggage with you and check gate number on your boarding pass.
  2. Security check:

Proceed towards gate number. Keep an eye on notice board as there is a possibility for gate numbers to change.

3. Boarding: Wait in lounge for announcement for boarding. Keep boarding card handy.

  • In flight:

Once you board flight, locate your seat number and settle down. Follow safety guidelines as instructed by the flight attendees. In case of any doubt, don't hesitate to speak to them.

  • After landing: Once you land, follow the board signs and get to conveyer belt to collect your luggage.Check your fight number against the conveyer belt number to know from where to collect your luggage.

If your flight is international then depending on your visa type, you might need to go through immigration process before you collect the language. The Airport staff can guide you if you ask them when you land; you can follow their instructions to get the immigration process done smoothly.
