In the vastness of the versatile land of India, there lies the pink city, which is situated in the lap of the royal land of rajputs, Rajasthan. The pink city is a very popular tourist site and tourists love to visit this place because of the tourist spots as well as the humble nature of the people of the place. The place is named as the pink city because the whole place was painted in pink to welcome the Prince of Wales in 1876. The place gives us some heritage sites which are the finest examples of Rajput architecture. The city was once the capital of the royalties and today it is the capital of Rajasthan. Jaipur stands as the first planned city.

The five-storey building is made of red sandstone and has around 900 jharokhas or small screen windows. The palace was built for the Rajput women, who used to sit in the palace and watch the ongoing activities from the windows.

The stone built walls and the high-rise rooms are all quite captivating to the tourists. It is decorated so beautifully with intrinsic style of art. Apart from the forts and palaces, there is the astronomical observatory known as Jantar mantar. There is the city palace as well. And one can also see the various costumes that the royals used to wear in the museums.
