Ultimate Hawaii Family Vacations, July Events in Waikiki, Embassy Suites By Hilton

If your plans this summer include Sun, Sand and Sea then this July is a great time to visit Oahu. Waikiki is the perfect destination for the summer family vacations. It has no shortage of water activities, which range from surfing, snorkeling, kayaking among others. So why not make this summer one that your family will never forget? Here are a few events that might be great for your kids:

Shadow Puppets is on July 8, free make-and-take shadow puppet activity for all ages. All materials provided. Drop in at any time allow at least 30 minutes to complete a project.

UH Kids First Film Fest is on July 11 – 30 boasting 40 live-action and animated films from 13 countries over five Sundays. Nature and environmental themes.

Mango Jam Honolulu is a 2-day festival celebrating of one of the most beloved fruits of the island, the MANGO! If you're looking for more mango goodness, check out the Mangoes at the Moana event, where you can sample a variety of mango-inspired delights by some of Honolulu's top chefs.

Disney's The Little Mermaid is on July 14-August 6, it is a hauntingly beautiful love story for the ages.

Makapuu Twilight Concert Series is on July 15, bringing Hawaii's favorite music artists to one of O'ahu's most memorable venues.

40th Anniversary of the Prince Lot Hula Festival on July 15 & 16 is held each year to honor Prince Lot Kapuaiwa who reprised the once forbidden hula in the district of Moanalua. There will also be cultural demonstrations, a Hawaiian-inspired craft fair, poi pounding workshops, entertainment and more.

55th Annual Hawai'i State Fair on July 15 & 16, it is a way to promote awareness of Hawaii's agricultural and ranching industries. Come see the country market and plant sale, keiki farm hands, horse rides, food, kid rides, contests and more.

On July 16, the 47th Annual 'Ukulele Festival, will bring together more than 10,000 people including masterful musicians at one of the world's largest ukulele festivals.

42nd Annual Queen Liliuokalani Keiki Hula Competition is on July 20-22, it is a day-long event at Aala Park and featured multi-ethnic dance performances, Hawaiian crafts demonstrations, a pageant of Hawaii's moi wahine, and the first keiki hula competition.

On July 22 Mele Series is themed around the natural environment, featuring the elements of nature: air, clouds, wind, the realm of mountains, ocean, and rain. A concert laden with stories and lore, songs, hula, and chant.
