Visit Pokhra For A Luxury Travel Experience In Nepal

When you are on a luxury trip to Nepal, how can you miss Pokhra – the 2nd most renowned city of Nepal after Kathmandu? Placed about 200 kilometers southwest of Kathmandu, the city of Pokhra is connected directly by air & land with all the premier towns and cities within Nepal.

Pokhra is a natural gorge filled with green hills, lakes, wildlife, forests and of course the Himalaya. There're as many as half a dozen lakes in the Pokhra. Rupa Lake, Begnas Lake, and Phewa Lake, are 3 of the most renowned & highly explored lakes in Pokhra. Swimming, boating, fishing, hiking and running are some of the leisure activities that are undertaken in & around the lake.

Pokhra Valley provides exceptional sights of the highest mountains encompassing Mt Annapurna, Mt Dhaulagiri, and Mt Fishtail. The holy mountain of Mount Fishtail can be witnessed wonderfully reflected on the Phewa Lake. However, the ideal place to witness the mountain is Sarangkot. Positioned at a height of 1700 meters, Sarangkot is probably the highest vantage point to witness the snow-covered Himalayas from very close. There are everything in Pokhra to keep in your Nepal luxury tour package.

You should also find time to hike the World Peace Stupa placed on a mountain right across the Phewa Lake. It's one of the finest trekking trails that need approximately two hours to attain the pinnacle. The Stupa provides a fascinating sight of the Pokhra Valley with glittering hills in the backdrop.

Pokhra Valley is usually recognized as the entrance to the celebrated Annapurna Circuit. In fact millions of travelers visit Annapurna Circuit every year. Renowned trekking trails that can be taken from Pokhra are Poonhill Trek, Ghandruk Trek and Dhapmus Trek. All these treks are highly recommended if you'd love to explore the nature and culture of the Himalayas.

Of late Pokhra has also turned out to be the playground for several adventurous activities. Paragliding from Sarangkot is no doubt the best. Bicycling, Marathon, and Rafting are other activities you must try.

Apart from these Pokhra also boasts several museums encompassing International Mountain Museum, Bat caves like Mahendra Cave, Davis Fall, temples & handicraft centers.

There're also many star-rated hotels in Pokhra for a comfortable stay & you can also participate in the vibrant nightlife that Pokhra has to offer. Pub, rock music, Discotheques, and local cultural songs & dances are standard on the menu of nearly all eateries. In Pokhra Gastronomical options vary from nepali cuisines to continental, Chinese & other Asian delicacies.

If you are planning for a luxury tour in Nepal, feel free to get in touch with a reliable tour operator before anything else.
