Visit the Most Fabulous Forts of The Gujarat

Gujarat is located in the western part of the India. It is famed for its rich history, crafts, and natural beauty. This state is the sixth biggest state in India. It is also named as the “Jewel of the West”. There are located some archeological areas such as Dholavira, Lothal, and Rangpur etc. there are also located the marvelous temples, fortresses, and palaces etc. you can visit the marvelous forts by the gujarat tourism, such as-

Bhadra Fort:

This castle is situated in the Ahmedabad city. It was constructed by Sultan Ahmed Shah in the year of 1411. This castle is spread over 43 acres. There are located many palace and temple such as Nagina Baugh, BhadraKali Temple.

Pavagadh Fort:

This castle is located in the near of Panchmahal district near Vadodara. Pavagadh Fort is famed for its marvelous architectural design. This fortress is surrounded by the hills and located at the top of the hill.

Uperkort Fort:

This castle is situated in Junagadh. Uperkort Fort was made by Chandragupta Maurya in 319 BC. This fort is situated from the several stages of Hinduism, Jainism, Islamic Invasion, Buddhism, British colonization, and Nawabi Grandeur.

Dabhoi Fort:

Dabhoi Fortress is located near the Darbhavati town that is situated on the southeast of the Baroda. In this fortress, there are located four majestic gateways. This castle is one of the biggest forts in India.

Lakhota Fort:

Lakhota Fortress is located in the Jamnagar. This fortress was the palace of Maharaja of Nawanagar. Now this fort is converted into a museum that has many attracting statues. These statues are situated from the 9th century to 18th century.

Bhujia Hill Fort:

This fortress is located in the Bhuj. The name of this castle was retrieved by the Bhujang Naag that is a snake temple. This castle is made by Rao Godji in the year of 1723. In the year of 1819, this fortress was authorized by British Colonial William Coir.

Old Fort:

Old Fort is situated in Surat. This fortress was made by Emperor Firoz Tughlak in the year of 1373 AD. This castle was attacked twice by Maharaj Chhatrapati Shivaji. Now, this castle is used as the Municipal Office.

Kanthkot Fort:

This fortress is an old castle that is located on the top of the rocky hill. This castle is 5 km far away from Bhachau Taluka and 100 km far away from Bhuj. There are located a Sun Temple that is most famed places for visit.

Dhoraji Fort:

This fort is located near to Rajkot. The architecture design of this castle is almost same as the Navlakha Palace in Gondal. This fort has many castles, 3 small gates i.e. called a Bari and four Main Gates.
