What do the Tourists in Florence

Millions of tourists come every year in Florence. Majority of them are attracted to the beautiful works of art that are in this famous Italian city. Tourists in Florence walk the streets and squares of the historic center and admire the immense historical and artistic monuments.

Among the most popular places are: the Duomo, Piazza della Signoria, the Ponte Vecchio, the Boboli Gardens and many other places, that can be visited by walking. The distinctive side of Florence is that the large part of wonderful things to see are possible while walking in the old town. Florence itself is as a museum in the open sky.

During the daylight, squares and streets of the center are crowded with people. Along the streets of the center together with monuments and works of art there are many bars, restaurants and local shops always ready to offer refreshments for those, who walk for hours.

So many places where you can eat and drink create an atmosphere of fun and relaxation, typical of areas frequented by tourists on vacation. People of all ages stop to check the menus with typical Tuscan food, offered at every hour of the day.

Many local places are full of tables located outdoors along the characteristic streets of the historic center and in the most important squares of the city. Tourists can taste the typical food and drink the excellent Tuscan wines while enjoying the most significant monuments of Florence.

Among the most important things to do in Florence there are art museums. Here are the most important museums in Italy such as the Uffizi and the Accademia gallery.

The Uffizi Gallery is the most visited museum in Italy followed closely from the Accademia Gallery, which houses the original David statue by Michelangelo. Both of these museums are visited daily by endless number of tourists. People are waiting long time to see the most famous work in the world preserved here.

In the historic center of Florence there are many other museums such as Palazzo Pitti, the Bargello, Museum of the Duomo, Palazzo Vecchio, the Galileo museum.

Tour operators less sponsor these museums, but they still keep important art pieces of all kinds, which prove the excellence achieved in Florence by the great artists of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. Some of these museums are easy to visit without having to wait long hours in queueing.

For those who love nature and the green places, advisable place to visit is the majestic Boboli garden. This is a monumental garden of Palazzo Pitti, where lived the famous Medici dynasty during the Renaissance.
