Which Airlines Offers Cheapest Flight Tickets?

Planning to travel in a flight for the first time and not sure which is the cheapest option? This article will help you finding cheapest flight tickets for your journey. There are many low cost flights operating in Indian domestic circuit and it is not a very easy task to find the cheapest among these airlines.

The prices of flight tickets have come down considerably following the recent recession and tremendous competition in the aviation industry. This competition has emerged with the introduction of many new low cost flights such as Go Air, Indigo, Spice Jet, Jet Lite and Jet Airways Konnect. These airlines offer the lowest fares available in the market.

Unlike a couple of years ago where you were required to pay heavy base fares for your air journey, these airlines charge a minimum base fare and in many cases just Rs.1.00 for the journey. However this is only to recover the operation charges and not make profit.

Let us understand how this strategy works out. The airlines will incur loss in case they fly with the empty seats and as a result the cost of operation becomes very expensive. Instead they choose to fly with no empty seats thus recovering the operation costs even if they can't make profit out of some seats.

This is the major reason why these airlines offer amazing discounts and offers to fill up those seats. The following points will help you in choosing the cheapest flight.

Lowest base fare:

Imagine you need to travel from Delhi to Bangalore. A ticket to Bangalore would cost you almost Rs.4,800.00 if you book the ticket up to 13 days before your journey. In case you book your ticket 14 days prior to the journey date you can save as much as Rs.1, 500.00 on the base fare of the ticket.

In case you book a return ticket to Bangalore from Delhi then you'll save a further of Rs.300.00 to Rs.400.00 on your journey. Indigo flight charges only Rs.1.00 for a return journey booked 14 days in advance. Spice Jet would only charge about Rs.129.00 for the same. So you can save up to 99% on the base fare and bring down the total flight charges by as much as 20% to 30%.

Fuel surcharge:

Although most airlines are not negotiable on this aspect Indigo flight offers marginal discount on fuel surcharge too when you book a return ticket on some select routes. So as a result your ticket to Bangalore will be cheaper by another Rs.100.00 or so. Avail these rich benefits and choose your carrier intelligently in order to get the best deal.

Apart from these to save more on your air journey you may choose to book your tickets through travel portals. Many travel portals offer further discounts and amazing offers such as cash back policy etc. As we understand from the above points Indigo is the cheapest airlines with which you can save lot of money on your journey.
