Winter Vacation in Oslo, Norway

It is know that January is the coldest month and its also know that this is the best time for enjoying winter sports on your winter vacation. This is a place where skiing event is held every winter, called World Cup Nordic, and inside its ski jump you will find the world's oldest ski museum with 4000 years of ski history exhibited. One of the country's most loved sports is the cross-country, and you will get to enjoy many miles long ski trails around the city. If skiing and snowboarding is not your thing, then you should catch the train to Frognerseteren and try Oslo's most popular toboggan run. It's called Korketrekkeren and it was built for the 1952 Winter Olympics. Here, you can rent sleds for a day and adventure a ride down the gentle incline of the 2,000m slope. The ride lasts around eight minutes, and once you reach the bottom of the slope run, you can catch a metro train from the Midtstuen station back to the top of the slope run and repeat this amazing adventure as many times as you please.
