The Birmingham Airport was formerly known as Birmingham International Airport. It is situated at Bickenhill in Solihull, Birmingham, England. This famous airport caters to a range of airlines including Flybe, Monarch, Thomas Cook Airlines, Ryanair, Thomson Airways, etc. Among these, both international as well as domestic flights are included that fly within the UK and to other foreign destinations, like Europe, the Indian subcontinent, the Middle East, the Caribbean, and North America.

Commuting to and from the Birmingham Airport

Getting to and from the Birmingham Airport is not so difficult. You can easily reach this airport within a few minutes. You just have to figure out how you will travel to and from this airport. You can simply and quickly access this popular airport by choosing one of the following modes of transport.

1. Private vehicle

The best way to travel to and from the Birmingham Airport is to take your own private vehicle, whether a motorbike or car. Moreover, the airport is in the middle of the UK motorway network, which is situated just off the M42 Junction 6 via the A45.

2. Train

The Birmingham Airport is connected directly to the Birmingham International Station through a free 'Air-Rail Link' monorail system. This air-rail link system only takes two minutes to reach the station. The operating hours of the monorail is between 05:15 and 02:00 every day.

3. Coach or Bus

You can also board a bus to or from the Birmingham Airport. There are currently 5 bus services that have access to the Airport or the Birmingham International Station. You can purchase the tickets for the bus on the bus service only. Furthermore, you can also take one of the coaches to and from this airport, which are operated by Megabus and National Express.

4. Cycle or foot

You can also cycle to and from the Birmingham Airport. This way you can think about your health as well as the environment. You can park your cycle for a short time period near the Terminal Departures free of cost. Additionally, you can travel on foot in order to discover the city on your own and meet some amazing people down the road.

5. Taxi

You can also take a taxi to go to and from the Birmingham Airport. The Licensed Black Cabs are available 24 hours a day and 365 days a year. They will drop you as well as pick you up directly from outside the terminal building's arrivals area.
