Pune, the vibrant and young city in the state of Maharashtra situated in the western regions of the state, is one of the most influential cities in the country. It is also the city with smoothest traffic which makes getting around a simple task. Other than these, it is also known to be a glamorous city thus is called the fashion capital of east. It is about 35 km from the city at a place, which is 800 meters above the surrounding countryside. The place has been the site of Sinhagad battle of 1670. It was previously called Kondana and is a major landmark of the city. The other top charting tourist places include: Shaniwar Wada, Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park, Aga Khan Palace, Katraj Snake Park, Osho Ashram, and Mushli Lake etc.
