But in order to do so, just serving delicious food isn't enough:

  • Do your research and find out how many restaurants are there in your area of operation and whether anyone is serving the type of food you are serving. Say, you open an Indian restaurant in Auckland or California then there is no point in serving Parsee food in an area where there is a high demand for Italian food, right?
  • Learn thoroughly about the prices of similar dishes by going through menus of neighbor restaurants. This will help you offer competitive prices on your menu. This way you can draw the attention of even loyal customers who are used to visiting established food joints.
  • Appoint a real smart cat for a manager. Hiring a manager may just seem like incurring an extra cost but it will actually spare you of many costs and shall help you prosper. Consider someone who is not only bright but someone you know for quite a while. The manager hired should be trustworthy and once hired will rid you off unnecessary stress and duties while you can focus on strategizing schemes for coming holidays and festivals to stay ahead of the competition.

The icing on the cake

A restaurant is your canvas to exhibit your taste and culture. You can decide upon a menu which will target the people of your culture and your restaurant may just become a hot spot for people of your culture to hangout. It is also a great way to serve the community you live in and to socialize with the people of your neighborhood.
