KUUIPO KUMUKAHI CONCERT – Kuuipo is a multi-award winning Hawaiian musician, recording artist and composer. She is currently the president of the Hawaii Academy of Recording Arts and is also associated with the Hawaiian Music Hall of Fame. The Royal Grove comes alive in her festive Aloha Friday performances on 03/11/2016 06:00 PM – 07:00 PM.
CALABASH & COOKS (3RD ANNUAL) Malama Learning Center is putting keiki in the kitchen for this year's Calabash & Cooks fundraiser presented by Hawaiian Electric Company on March 12, 2016, 05:30 PM – 08:30 PM. In addition to featuring professional chefs from award-winning Roy's Ko Olina and Firehouse, this year's event at Kapolei High School is also making students the chef de cuisine. Approximately 36 student chefs from six public high schools – Campbell, Kapolei, Moanalua, Radford, Waianae, and Waipahu – will all prepare at least one dish for guests to enjoy. The third annual event aims to give guests a taste of the organization's work to educate the public about sustainable, healthy living in our island home. Prices start at $40 for general tickets and $75 for VIP. Student tickets are available for $25 and $20 for keiki ages 10 and under.
KE AHE LAU MAKANI FESTIVAL & PRINCE KUHIO TRIBUTE CONCERT 03/12/2016 06:00 PM – 07:30 PM This annual Hawaiian Music Choral Festival will culminate in the annual tribute concert to Prince Kuhio. Held in the stately and historic Kawaiahao Church. Featuring singers from various community choirs including: Kawaiahao Church Choir, University of Hawaii Manoa Hawaiian Chorus, Hawaii Youth Opera Chorus, Pearl Harbor Hawaiian Civic Club, Queen Emma Hawaiian Civic Club.
HONOLULU RAINBOW EKIDEN – The Honolulu Rainbow EKIDEN invites runners of all skill levels to join the fun at Hawaii's 3rd annual “Ekiden” relay race! On Sunday, March 13, starting at 9 a.m., enjoy scenic views of Diamond Head and the Waikiki coastline during a fun-filled, five-kilometer relay, followed by post-race festivities at Kapiolani Park. The USA Track & Field certified 5K course for the race begins and ends on the ocean side of Kapiolani Park fronting Waikiki Beach, and continues alongside Diamond Head and passes the historic lighthouse before returning to the relay hand-off and finish line. KUPAOA – The combined talents of Kellen Paik and Lihau Hannahs Paik embody the name they've chosen for their musical presence on 03/15/2016 06:00 PM – 07:00 PM at the The Royal Hawaiian Center – Kupaoa, meaning suffused with fragrance, or heady with scent. Their talents are many, for they infuse musical ability and charm into two sweet, rich voices to offer up an inviting blend, like a perfume that can be spicy, soothing, and alluring all at once.
MUSIC OF HAWAII: BRITTNI PAIVA – Brittni Paiva is a multiple Na Hoku Hanohano award winning ukulele instrumentalist who began her musical journey at the age of four, starting with the piano. Since then Paiva has studied multiple instruments, but her passion has been the ukulele since she picked it up at the age of 11. Now, Paiva is a pioneer in applying the looping music technique to create ukulele versions of pop, alternative and electronic dance music. Audiences can look forward to her using this technique on re-mastered favorites along with new unreleased songs. Doris Duke Theatre on 03/16/2016 starting at 7:30 p.m. General admission $25.
WAIKIKI AQUARIUM TO CELEBRATE 112TH BIRTHDAY – Waikiki Aquarium 03/19/2016 09:00 AM – 01:00 PM. Activities will include a treasure hunt throughout the Aquarium, formal birthday ceremony and cake from the Moana Surfrider, costume characters, entertainment, a 1904 costume contest and more! To celebrate, the first 112 guests will be admitted free. Discounted admission will be offered to all other guests at $4 for adults and free for kids 12 and under.

GREAT HAWAIIAN RUBBER DUCKIE RACE (29TH ANNUAL) – 03/26/2016 20,000 cute, bright yellow rubber duckies will be doing their part to help support those with disabilities in the islands, with their 100-yd. dash down the Ala Wai Canal. Ducks will race precisely at 1:01 p.m. Additionally, pre-race festivities will be held at the McCully Shopping Center, from 9am – 12:30pm. There will be live entertainment, children games, duck adoptions and a rubber duckie souvenir store. The duckies have generated over 1.25 million dollars for those with cerebral palsy and other disabilities in Hawaii.
WAIKIKI ARTFEST – The Waikiki Artfest features 75 of Hawaii's fine artists and handcraft artisans who display their own artwork for sale, to include all types of jewelry, clothing, wood products, stained glass, ceramics, soaps and candles, quilts, and lauhala products. We are located in Kapiolani Park at the Diamond Head end of Waikiki, across from the entrance to the Honolulu Zoo. We are there 03/27/2016 both Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 4pm. Admission is free.
HAWAII SKETCH COMEDY FESTIVAL On 03/31/2016 12:00 AM – 04/01/2016 12:00 AM Join us for the 2nd annual Hawaii Sketch Comedy Festival's opening-night show and reception, “Live from Honolulu!” This epic night of laughs will feature live sketch comedy performances and hilarious original videos by comedians from around the country.
