In addition to relaxing on the beaches, there are several other activities that can be enjoyed. If you love the water you might enjoy the dolphin watching cruise, surfing, scuba diving, sailing, boat trips, paragliding, or fishing tours. If being on the water is what you enjoy, there are numerous options to choose from.
After enjoying the ocean side beaches, you might want to visit the interior rivers and estuaries that make Goa such an interesting and exciting place to visit. Goa has many rivers that weave their way through the state creating an intriguing and romantic setting in the inland areas. You can enjoy one of the river tours which allow you to visit the mangroves and view the local wildlife habitat of Goa. Kayaking, through the mangroves and on the river, is also an option. The river tours are a great way to get an up-close view of the beauty of Goa.
Goans take pride in their religious harmony, as their communities display mutual respect towards one another. This is symbolized in the many religious buildings that are available for their people and visitors to enjoy. There are numerous tours available that visit the religious and historical sites. In addition to these sites, there are also jungle tours that will take you into the interior of Goa. Some of these tours allow you to zip line over the treetops, ride elephants through the jungle and even bathe with the elephants.
