For generations, London has captured the imagination of people from the four corners of the globe. Often, London can be expensive, however there are ways to view London without spending a fortune. From museums and walks that offer views of historical London to parks and markets, London is a vast metropolis that offers a delightful range of activities for people of all tastes.
Museums and Galleries
As one of the oldest cities in the world, London possesses an abundance of galleries and museums- many of which are free.

National Gallery London

The National Gallery, located on the periphery of Trafalgar Square, offers a formidable collection of art from across the globe- including works from the likes of van Eyk, da Vinci and Cezanne.

Although the British weather may deter you from venturing out, London offers several parks that provide a different perspective on London life- so wrap up warm and get exploring. Hyde Park, perhaps London's most famous park, is one of London's largest Royal Parks.

Hyde Park London

Historically, the park was the hunting ground for King Henry VIII, but it is now the realm of locals and visitors seeking to catch a rare glimpse of the English sun. The Prime Meridian Line- and founding place of Greenwich Mean Time- is located at the Royal Observatory in Greenwich Royal Observatory. If you don't fancy going to one of London's many parks, take a walk along the banks of the iconic River Thames.
Markets
London's history is intertwined with market history. A centre for social interaction and economic exchange, London possesses an array of markets which offer everything from boutique antiques to delicious street food.

Columbia Road Flower Market

Columbia Road Flower Market, located in Bethnal Green, offers flowers from the locally grown to the imported. In between flower shopping, browse the quaint Victorian shops of East London.
