Egg-celent Fun at The Deep

Hull's award-winning aquarium, The Deep, has plenty of interesting, fun and educational activities to take part in throughout the Easter holidays. It's one of the most exciting places to visit in Yorkshire, with fascinating creatures to meet and plenty to learn. Over Easter, you can hear about the eggs laid by some of the aquarium's residents, including penguins, turtles and sharks. There are family crafts to get involved with and an activity trail, as well as a daily dive show at 2pm, penguin feeds to watch each morning and afternoon and interactive presentations throughout the day.

Toddler Easter Party at Thornton Hall Farm

Thornton Hall farm offer fantastic things to do in Yorkshire, particularly for those parents with toddlers to entertain. They're jazzing up their Toddler Sessions for Easter, with a celebration including games, a treasure hunt, a picnic and farmyard fun! This event is held on the weekend of 22nd March and pre-booking is advised.

Easter: A Cracking Chocolate Adventure at York's Chocolate Story

Between 30th March and 7th April, the kids (ideally aged 4-8) can embark on a chocolatey adventure in York with characters Gr-egg and Yolko. Gr-egg loses all the Easter eggs, so they need to fix his mistake and save Easter – it's a fantastic way to get all the family into the Easter spirit. As special activities in Yorkshire go for the holidays, this one is not to be missed.

Easter Tournament at Royal Armouries

This brilliant annual event showcases all the thrills and spills of an authentic medieval jousting tournament. This live-action spectacle will have all families on the edge of their seats as renowned knights from England, Poland, Austria and France battle it out for victory. The Royal Armouries has been one of the most popular places to visit in Yorkshire over Easter in recent years, with this event being a sell-out in the past two years. If you're interested in jousting, make sure you book your tickets in advance!

Mad About Madagascar Easter Event at The Tropical Butterfly House

Are your kids obsessed with the DreamWorks blockbuster, Madagascar? If so, they'll love this event at the Tropical Butterfly House! There are various things to do in Yorkshire on offer, including meeting amazing Madagascan species and taking part in a special Easter egg hunt on Easter Sunday and Monday. There will be daily animal encounters for visitors to enjoy as well as interesting activities in Yorkshire such as free tractor trail rides, themed art and craft activities and more.
