The Dhikala Forest Lodge is an located in an extremely beautiful area. It had picturesque beauty which will leave you spell bound. It is located within the first thirty kilo meters of the park. You can spot the barking deer, the spotted deer, fox, hyenas and many other animals near this lodge.
The Sultan Rest House is another inexpensive accommodation for you. It is named after a seasonal stream which flows near it. This places is calm and serene and is an ideal spot for those love peace and tranquility.
The Gairal Rest House is located right in the middle of the dense forest. The river Ramganga flows nearby and this keeps you cool even during the day. It is a beautiful spot where you can find a wide variety of animals.
Another rest house which you can consider is the Saradupil Rest House. This place is not for the faint hearted as tigers and elephants are known to roam around this area frequently. this rest house too, is located near the river Ramganga and one can spot crocodiles and several bird species here.
The Kanda Rest House, is located at an altitude of one kilo meter. It is the highest rest house around and is located in the north of the Jim Corbett National Park. The weather is cold here and it shares wildlife and vegetation similar to that of the Himalayan range. Here you can spot the black bear, leopards and many other animals.
The Khinnanauli Rest House is the newest kid on the block. It is the youngest rest house around and it has some modern amenities for the customers. One can spot tigers from this rest house as they are known to prowl around this area.
People often have some safety concerns when they consider residing inside these lodges and rest houses. Well, you have no reason to fear as all these rest houses are surrounded by electric fencing. Officers also patrol this area all through the night. Hence all these rest houses and lodges are completely safe.
If you have made up your mind and are planning to make bookings, then you are advised to book at least three months in advance. There is a long queue of people who wish to live in this beautiful place and hence the application should be done well in advance.
