These flights are the first non-stop transpacific services between Beijing and Montreal, and will be operated three days a week – Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays under the numbers CA879/CA880. With the introduction of these new flights from Canada to China and vice versa, people will have more travel options for the journey between the distant continents of Asia and North America. The flag carrier will be operating a Boeing 777-300ER on a codeshare basis with Air Canada for passenger transport between the two nations. These new direct Beijing-Montreal flights are in accord with the goals of Star Alliance that aims to offer convenient and seamless services to customers. People who want to book tickets for flights between Canada and China can look for a variety of options on various online travel agencies (OTAs). A number of airlines connect the two nations via different routes, reaching their destination in around 16 hours and 40 minutes to 20 hours. The new direct flights by Air China offer travellers an option for shorter journeys. On Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, non-stop flights from Beijing International Airport are scheduled to depart at 1:00 pm and reach the destination city at 1:50 pm local time. For a return journey from Montreal to the Asian country, a flight departs at 4:20 pm, reaching its destination at 6:00 pm. Travellers can make their Air China ticket booking via various OTAs to avail these direct services between the two destinations.
