Gulf Craft History Overview
The company started by manufacturing small fiberglass runabouts and fishing boats, but in 1992, Gulf Craft began to enter the luxury yacht industry with the launch of its Adora 53 motor yacht. Furthermore, the company launched the 36M Majesty 86 in 1997, and built on its success to open its luxury yacht and superyacht division, Majesty Yachts, in 2003. By 2010, Gulf Craft had delivered 18 superyachts exceeding 30 meters to 4 continents, which makes them one of the best luxury yacht builders worldwide. Today, the company operates four new yacht production and service shipyards in the UAE and one in the Maldives, and research say that it is capable of producing 500 vessels per year. Each yacht is semi-customized to better meet the requirements of the owner – from exterior finishing, to interiors, design and strategic layout. The focus on semi-customization is borne out of Gulf Craft’s manufacturing crafting and finishing processes – most of which are carried out in-house at its shipyards.
