Harare – Famous Wonder of World

It is trade centres for tobacco, cotton, and Citra fruits. Harare has a subtropical highland climate. The average temperature is around 17.95 C. July is the coldest month and October is the hottest month in Harare. Before making a plan to visit Harare, Climatic condition has to be taken into consideration.

Airport

Harare's airport is the major gateway for all flight into County. Air Zimbabwe operates on small range but recently many international big flight like South Africa Airways , Ethiopian Airline , Kenya Airways and Egypt air have chosen their route through Harare Airport. Taxis from airport to main hotel cost about $25.

By train

Train services were badly hit due to the economical turmoil during recent years but recently it is slowly picking up. Most of the train runs once in a day. There are no international trains for Harare except occasional cruise trains.

By Car

A good road from Harare to Johannesburg allows easy access. One has to be careful by the side way drop on the road, which is often frightening. It is not advisable to a trip at night because of rash drive by truck.

By Bus

Journey by Bus is good from Johannesburg to Harare and vice verse. The bus takes about 16 – 24 hours. Delay at border is very common which might take 3 – 8 hrs during the normal time , which at peak time like Christmas might take 24 hours. Most of the ordinary bus arrives at Mbare Terminal which is 3 km from city centre. The terminal is very large, hectic and confusing and dangerous.

By Car

Harare is very spread out and moving by car is good move. Shortage of fuel is of past, we can get Fuel easily from many fuel stations or outlet through coupon or cash.

Landmark

The National Gallery has valuable and interesting national collection. The priceless collection of about Rhodesiana and Africana in the form of dairies , notebook and reports of various origins.

You can also view the work of the some of the greatest names in African Exploration.

National botanic Gardens is open large space having more than 900 species of wild trees and shrubs from all over the country. A different varieties of birds , species and wild animals like giraffe, zebra, Tsesche , wildebeest, reed buck and eland can be viewed.

Chapungu Sculpture Park

The vast number of Serpentine stone found around Zimbabwe and are even visual during the trip to airport have encourage the stone artist to curve these stone into beautiful Sculpture. The large area has a exhibitions by numerous artists.
