Brighton and Hove
For warmth, love and peace of mind, this would probably be the place for getting-a-bit-out. Situated on the South Coast of England, Brighton and Hove are much popular for its seaside resorts. A very happy community indeed and nightlife and culture have been always at its peak. Officially declared as a city by Queen Elizabeth II, the town is the 12th largest Conurbation in the United Kingdom. Having seized the Fairtrade City Status, Brighton and Hove certainly swanks about the best football team in the city, Brighton and Albion FC.
Bristol
Laid between Gloucestershire and Somerset, an unbreakable love for the sea, located in the South West of England, Bristol has so much to offer its tourists and visitors. Constructed around the River Avon along with Art and Entertainment, the city would be the right spot for the Art lovers. From films to foodies, Bristol is full of architectural buildings raised in the style of Bristol Byzantine leaving it's visitors spellbound. As for sports, the city is not behind. Bristol has it's own football league clubs such as Bristol Rovers and Bristol City and the state has participated in a number of tournaments.
Cambridge
A cozy place that lies in East Anglia, 50 miles north of London and a non-stop train from Kings Cross is available. From football to boat races, a wide range of sports can be enjoyed making it the sportsmen's hub. The city has given birth to several of the best literatures and a couple of those famous novels include Rose Macaulay's They Were Defeated and Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency. Missing out on Cambridge's Folk, Film and Beer festivals would be unjust and must be experienced when spending time in Cambridge.
Canterbury
Placed in South East England, Canterbury lies on the Great Stour providing a wide range of tourist spots and leisure. Compared to the other cities of Britain, Canterbury is quite a small city, nevertheless it holds some of the world's most historical sites such as St. Augustine's Abbey, Norway castle and England's oldest school, The King's School. The city also includes great entertainment, sports and creative arts. A few other places to visit would include the following. The Marlowe Theater, this theatre is a fine place for entertainment and encourages all forms of arts including child's play and stand-up comedy. St Lawrence Ground and Kent Country Cricket Club, these are the famous grounds in the city, great for the sport lover. And lastly The University College for Creative Arts promote every innovative talent possible and worth a visit.
Carlisle
Sandwiched between the Lake District, Cumbria and Scotland, Carlisle can be reached even by the simplest of means. Lying in the path of Hadrian's Wall, the city is indeed a colourful junction. For folks who would love to be closer to the Lake District, Carlisle can offer you the finest accommodation and the Tourist Information Centre always comes in handy flow through this city, these include The Spring flower show, November's Fireshow and Music Festivals. Festivals are the highlight of Carlisle.
