Jet Airways web check in can be done by logging on to the website of the airline or downloading its mobile application on your smart phone. It is possible to perform online check-in by providing the six letter booking reference number for confirmed tickets. Once logged in, the guests would be in a position to perform a number of tasks. These tasks include reprinting of their e-boarding passes, effecting changes to seats or selecting seats afresh, enter their loyal rewards membership number and perform other tasks.
Jet Airways Web Check in Different from Other Airlines
Jet Airways allows web check in for group bookings as well but with a maximum of 4 segments of travel. Even passengers travelling with infants are allowed to check-in online. It is even possible to do it for return journeys and for interline and code share flight journeys which require through check-in. However, the condition for this is that the flight at point of origin of the inter-line or code-share nature shall be operated by Jet Airways.
Non-Applicability in Certain Cases
Jet Airways online check in is not available for people who have made special service requests. These requests could be for the mobility assistance, medical aids, or any other. Since the passenger would need to show the valid travel documents at the airport and there will be a need to verify the state of medical condition through these documents, checking in from web would lose relevance since regular check-in counter at airport will have to be used.
This is also not to be availed by people who do not hold confirmed bookings. Those who are in the waiting list would not be able to perform the same since boarding passes cannot be issued to them.
If the originating sector of interline or code share flight is being provided by another carrier, the web check in will not be possible. It is a pre-condition for use of web-based check in for Jet Airways code-share or inter-line flights that the first flight shall be operated by it. If it is another carrier, the check-in rules of that carrier would be applicable.
