If you’re planning a trip to Norway to see the northern lights, then you’ve come to the right place.  Norway is a popular place to see the aurora. There are two names for the aurora: the aurora borealis and the aurora australis. The Best Time to see the Norway Northern lights is September to November season each year.  each night holds more possibility that you’ll see the aurora. (December to March) Winter is the ideal time to see the northern lights in Norway. In some places, The sun doesn’t even rise between November and January. Norway is one of the world’s top aurora destinations.If the northern lights are out.

Spring (April to May):

Spring Time comes each year with longer days and shorter nights. You will see the aurora without staying up until the middle of the night in April. During  May there’s not enough darkness to see the aurora most nights.

SUMMER ( June to August):

During Summer you will see ‘midnight sun’. So Daylight is the ideal condition for seeing the northern lights. It is basically impossible to see the northern lights in Norway from June to August.

The best places in Norway where you can see the Northern lights:

  • Svalbard: This position gives you to see the Northern Lights.  This is the only place in the world where the Northern Lights can be seen in the daytime.

  • The next place is Bodo:  Bodø is an excellent place to see the Northern Lights.

  • Tromso: This is the big city in Northern Norway.  The most obvious things to do in Tromso in the winter is to view the aurora borealis. There are a good number of indoor museums, exhibits, and learning centers to enjoy.

  • Narvik: Narvik is a great place to searching for the Northern Lights.

  • Trondheim: This is the third largest city in Norway and is an excellent place to when you’re trying to see the Northern Lights.

  • Senja: This is Norway’s second largest island. You have a great chance of seeing wildlife such as moose, seals, and many more.

  • The Lofoten Islands: This is a very nice place with a surprisingly mild climate. The Lofoten Islands is an excellent spot to view the Northern Lights.

  • Alta: There are many things to see like dog sledding, snowmobile riding, and of course, watching the Northern Lights.

  • Hammerfest: Hammerfest place surrounded by nature. It’s perfect for you if you are looking for a natural solitude.

And There are many other places like Nordkapp, Vesteralen, Lyngenfjord. your best chances see the northern lights in Norway December to March. It is possible to see them in shoulder months like October, November
