The rains have started which is good news for wildflower enthusiasts, and hopefully means this year will be a good season. There are many extended wildflower tours which allow visitors to experience the splendour of the season, but if you are short of time or don’t wish to travel too far from Perth Casey Tours offer several wildflower day trips. Bibbulmun Track at wildflower time

The Bibbulmun track stretches from the Perth Hills to Albany, some 1003 kilometres. During the springtime the Perth Hills is a great place to go in search of blooms. Tree flowers, Kangaroo Paws, Orchids and many more varietals are found in this area. While you are here, enjoy a bush picnic lunch and a walk amongst the Australian bush. Departing on the 1st September, this tour is such to be popular.

Spring Wildflower Day Tour

With several dates throughout September and October, this tour will be sure to take you to wherever the flowers are blooming! Each week Casey Tours will scout the best spots, this flexibility around location is unlike any other tour company operating in WA. With a vast array of flower species native to the state, and 2100 species of native plants found within the Perth floristic region there is sure to be plenty of blooms to excite wildflower seekers. Tours depart on the 9th September, 22nd September and the 7th October.

Chittering Wildflower Festival

Every year Chittering celebrates the wildflower season with a 3 day festival. The town of Bindoon comes alive with historical vehicles, flower expos, wildflower walks, exhibits, markets, music, quilting and much more. Wander around the beautiful town and enjoy the festivities, pick up some local produce and soak up the atmosphere. Departing on the 16th September, make sure you bring a handy shopping bag to bring your purchases back home.

Reynoldson Reserve Festival in Wongan Hills

Visit Wongan Hills and celebrate the bloom of the stunning Verticordia which the town is famous for. Each year when the Verticordia bloom on the reserve the town throws a party, featuring market stalls, entertainment, Devonshire tea, art exhibitions and more. Departing on the 27th October, this popular event is likely to sell out.
