Fred Hall's Fishing Tackle, Boat and Travel Show

San Diego welcomes you to Fred's Hall's Fishing Tackle, Boat and Travel Show, which is going to take place on March 21-24, 2013 at Del Mar Fairgrounds.

Known as San Diego's largest and oldest boat show, “Fred Hall's Fishing Tackle, Boat & Travel Show” showcases a wide range of destination travel exhibits, hunting and shooting exhibits and fishing tackle across the county.

The show also features other attractions such as a wonderful assortment of free seminars viz., expanded kayak fishing instruction and private boater information. Fred Hall's show offers unlimited fun for people of all ages. It is a perfect event for an extended stay in San Diego.

Show Dates and timings

  • Thursday, March 21th: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
  • Friday, March 22th: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
  • Saturday, March 23th: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM
  • Sunday, March 24th: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Charges to attend the event include $13 for adults and $12 for senior citizens (62 years and older). Children 15-years and younger can enjoy the event for free, provided they are accompanied by adults who have purchased tickets. Military personnel, both retired and active, can get free access to the show. Parking facility will be available at $9.

South Park Spring Walkabout

Celebrate the joy of Spring with a San Diego vacation and attend the South Park Spring Walkabout that is taking place on March 23, 2013. A walkabout introduces you to beautiful shops and cafes situated on South Park. It also features melodious music, a free trolley that runs across Juniper to Beach streets, refreshment stalls and eateries.

San Diego St. Patrick's Day Parade and Irish Festival

Be a part of the San Diego St. Patrick's Day Parade and Irish Festival. The parade will start from Sixth Avenue and Juniper Streets, in Balboa Park on March 16, 2013.

The parade day activities will begin with Flag Presentation at 10 am followed by the parade that will commence at 11 am.

The event will display:

  • Equestrian entries
  • Bagpipes
  • Dancing groups
  • Drill teams
  • Police and fire department units
  • Clowns
  • Antique cars
  • Corvettes
  • Emerald Society units

The Irish Festival will also begin at 11am which promises unlimited fun and entertainment in the form of games, rides, two beer gardens, a Kids Zone, Irish dance, music, story-telling, a Celtic Village and lots of fun activities.
