Ranchi is the capital of Indian state Jharkhand. Previously, it was a part of Bihar, but after the formation of Jharkhand, in the year 2000, it became its capital city. This place is well famous for the production of coal. There are many coal mines located in this place, and forms the backbone in exporting coal to different parts of the country. The transportation system of this city is well maintained and is connected to different parts of the country through rail, road and airways.
The city bus services connect it to different parts of the state. Two main national highways pass through this city, and they are, NH 23 and NH 33. The airport connects this state with other parts of the country. The education system is well maintained in this city with good primary schools and colleges for higher education. There are many tourist places to visit like Rock Garden, different water falls like, Hinri falls, Jonha falls, Hundru falls and many more.
Rourkela district is located in the Indian state of Orissa. This place is rich in minerals, and there are many industries like coal industry, steel industry, L & T plant, Orissa cement, IDL limited and much more. There are many places to visit like Hanuman Vatika, Vedavyas, Ghoghar Temple, Kandadhar, Mandira Dam, Laxmi Narayan Mandir and much more. There are two famous parks found in Rourkela, and they are Indira Gandhi park and Jubilee Park.
The transportation system is good in this city. The railways connect different places of India with other parts of Orissa. The roadways also connect to the different regions of this state through buses, cars etc. There is a national highway, which connects Ranchi to Rourkela and also there are many trains available, running between these two stops. The airway is also found, which is maintained by Steel Authority of India Limited. Switching to the educational field, this place is very famous for the higher technical education. The famous National Institute of Technology, is located here, which very good for the engineers. Hockey is the major game, which is played in this city.
There is good road and rail connection from Ranchi to Rourkela. The distance between these stops is around 235 kilometers (kms). There is no airdrome in the city of Rourkela. The nearest airport to the city is the famous Bisra Munda Airport, Ranchi (which is around 131 kilometers away).
