There are times when you deserve a vacation but need to do it on a budget. There are several things that Atlantic City has to offer, that are either free or come at a very nominal price making your vacation all the more budget friendly. Keep a track of the city's website to note all the free events that are constantly taking place. This way you will be able to plan your itinerary according to what's on in the city.

Among the free things that you can do in Atlantic City is spend the day at the beach. Beaches have no entry fee and this is actually a rarity in other parts. Book lovers can keep a track of all the events taking place at the Atlantic City Free Public Library. There are several that happen through the year and it can be a lot of fun. If you are visiting the city in August, that is summer time, a good event to plan your trip around would be the Atlantic City Airshow. Its called the Thunder Over the Boardwalk and is amazing.

You can also always go for great walks on the Boardwalk as well cycling trips on its between 6AM and 10AM every morning. The Absecon Lighthouse is another free entry tourist spot which has a great museum as well as gift shop. If you want to go all the way to the top, there is a very nominal fee that you have to pay. You can also stroll the docks and visit the Crafter's Village. There is an AC Aquarium here that you need to pay a small fee for to enter.

You also have the Korean War Memorial and Civil Rights Garden where you can take a stroll. Each year there are several annual parades that take place on the Boardwalk as well as adjoining streets. Plan your trips around the St. Patrick's Day or Easter or Summer Solstice parades. There is also the Columbus Day, the Christmas as well as the Puerto Rican Day parades that you can look forward to.

Besides these free activities, there are several nominal priced places that you can easily visit. The Noyes Museum of Art is where you will see a lot of folk exhibits from in and around the area. The Historic Cold Spring Village is a living exhibition of open air living and the lifestyles of people who adopt it. These are just some of the many activities that you can indulge in.
