Once your MM2H application is approved, you have to get your passport endorsed. You need to visit Malaysia for the passport endorsement. The applicant cannot produce the passport of children or spouse for endorsement. Every applicant should get the immigration entry stamped into the passport before the visa is endorsed. The passport should be at least six months old till the expiration. During the endorsement, you need to complete these formalities beforehand.
Medical Check-up:
After getting the approval of MM2H program, you are required to undergo a medical checkup. Ask your MM2H agent about the hospitals in Malaysia that offer healthcare screening services. If you face problems to find a suitable hospital, you can bring the issue to the notice of the consulate or the Immigration Department. The representatives of such department can do the needful for you.
Getting Medical Insurance:
If you do not possess a health insurance, which is valid in Malaysia, you should get one. If your age is less than 55 years, it will not be a problem for you to get a medical insurance in Malaysia. You can also purchase a medical insurance from an international medical insurance company. You are not required to furnish proof of health insurance if your age is above sixty years.
Present Certificates of Fixed Deposits as Per Your MM2H Category:
After getting the MM2H approval, you need to open a fixed deposit account with MYR 300000. This condition is applicable for those whose age is below fifty years. After the passage of one year, you can withdraw up to MYR 150000 for meeting expenses like education, purchase of a home or medical expense.
During your stay in Malaysia, you should maintain a minimum balance of MYR 150000 as per the conditions of MM2H program. Persons who have purchased home worth of MYR 1 million are required to deposit MYR 150000 with the application of MM2H visa.
If you are above 50 years-of-age, you can open a fixed deposit account of MYR 150000 or produce proof of receiving a pension paid out by government source of at least MYR 10000. You can withdraw MYR 50000 to meet expenses like medical care, education or house purchase after one year.
After preparing all the required documents, you should ask your agent to accompany you to the Immigration Department for getting the MM2H approval stamped into your passport. You need to pay a yearly fee of MYR 90 in advance for the period of ten years or for as many years till your passport is valid. The rest of the amount is paid if you later receive a new passport.
In addition to the yearly fee, you need to pay a multiple entry visa fee of MYR 30. A Journey performed Fee of MYR 530 should be paid if the person does not hold a passport from a Commonwealth country.
When your MM2H approval is stamped into the passport, you need to pay the remaining fee to your agent. After that, your MM2H sponsor will inform you about the letter of approval with which you can enter or exit Malaysia for a period of ten years.
