When it comes to hogging on the best food in a city, it is always believed to be found in the streets. Similarly, even the finest hotels in Jaipur cannot satiate those pangs in a glutton's stomach, as much as the local eateries and street foods can. Check these out these elusive Rajasthani delicacies of Jaipur-

1. Dal Batti Churma

As much as Eiffel Tower is synonymous to Paris, Dal Batti Churma holds a similar association to the grand menu of the yummy Rajputana cuisine. This trio makes up for a wholesome meal and is a speciality of Rajasthan. Batti is a ball of stuffed flour that is baked in an oven or charcoal, served with Dal, or lentil curry. This duo is accompanied with Churma, a sweet dish made with flour, jaggery or sugar, and clarified butter. And, an ocean of ghee for extra happiness!

2. Mawa Kachori

This sweet delight is nothing else but puff pastries, stuffed with an exotic sweetened mixture of dry fruits. Mawa Kachori can be spotted at any lavish or small occasion in Jaipur, and for the specially prepared, head to the famous sweet shops, such as Rawat Mishthan Bhandar, Kanji sweets, or LMB at Johari Bazaar.

3. Mirchi Bada (Chili Friitter)

Found in abundance throughout the streets of Jaipur, this refreshment has secured a tight spot in the snack battle, with Samosa and Kachori still raging a bit more. Mirchi Bada is a preparation of green chilly dipped in chickpea flour and then deep fried, thereby giving that jolt of pleasure to the one eating.
4. Pyaaz Kachori
A little sober cousin of the Mawa Kachori, pyaaz kachori is another form of puff pastry stuffed with onions that are slightly caramelized. Rawat Kachori sells the most sought after Pyaaz Kachori in Jaipur. Don't be surprised if gluttony takes over while hogging!
5. Lassi from Lassiwala
There are three Lassiwalas located in the vicinity, but the one with the black board is the original one. One can get a genuine helping of a glassful, of earthen clay, full of lassi and gulp down as much as required to the heart's content. Remember to reach this place before 4 pm since the Lassiwala sells out this speciality till 4 pm. This one is a must have or the whole munching expedition would go waste.
