The city has thousand years of civilization that is preserved in the forms of shrines and tombs. The city is situated approximately in the centre of Pakistan and located at the banks of Chanab River.The city that is the third largest city by area and become on the fifth place through the population.The city that is surrounded by the mosques, tombs and shrines while Multan is the birthplace of famous Punjabi poet Fariduddin Ganjshakar known as Baba Farid.

Multan that is the trade centre of Eastern of Pakistan due the home of crops just like that as wheat, cotton, sugarcane, oil seeds while also have major fruits as mangoes, citrus, guava and pomegranates.Multan is also known as “The city of living craft” because of the best hand made things as Khussas, embroidered dresses and blue pottery and tiles.Most interesting the city of Multan is surrounded by the brick wall and having six major gates Bohar gate, Pak gate, Haram gate, Dehli gate,Lohari gate and Daulat this fort is known as the Multan Fort.

Multan is famous due to the shrines so called as “the city of Saints and Shrines”, there are many as “Shrine of Syed Yousaf Gardez”, Shrine of Hameed-ud-din,Shire of Pir Sakhi Shah Hassan, Shrine of Abu Hassan Hafiz Jamal-ud-din (Musa Pak Shaeed), Shrine of Syed Sham-ud-din (“Shah Shams Sabzwari”) and many more but most famous shrines become the “Shrine of Bahaudin Zakriya” the famous Sufi in Islam who travelled from Mecca to Multan on foot and another Sufi shrine as “Shrine of Shah Rukan e Alam” , grandson of Baha ud Din Zakriya the man who is considered as the glory of Islam and his tomb is considered as the master piece.The dome of the shrine of the Shah Rukn Azam become the worlds second most largest dome.

As the Multan is famous due to the shrines so the important shrine in the terroritory of Multan is the tomb of Bibi Jawini in Uch Sharif that is also a remarkable sign of history.

The cheap flights to Lahore give you the long simmering opportunity to visit this site. The political upheavals put the country into trouble for some time and driving the increasing numbers of the young and educated away to set up their lives abroad. The situation little bit unsatisfactory but not to lose the opportunity of grabbing the beauty of Pakistan……
