Celebrate Your Love of the Arts and Other Cultural Events

Celebrate your love of music with the Royal Hawaiian Band at Iolani Palace. Visitors and locals can enjoy current and historic musical performances from this royal band. It's history dates back to the Hawaiian monarchy and was founded by King Kamehameha III. Young musicians are inspired by the mission of the Royal Hawaiian Band, and put forth a tremendous effort to preserve the Hawaiian music culture. This musical masterpiece takes place at the Hawaii Iolani Palace at 12 noon – Feb 6, 13, 20 & 27.

Celebrate Architecture and Islamic Art

Philanthropist and art collector Doris Duke (1912-1993) works of art are featured at The Honolulu Museum of Art. This event take place from February12 to June 7, 2015 and showcases Architecture, Landscape and Islamic Art from eight contemporary artists of Islamic backgrounds. All of these artists have participated in Doris Duke's Shangri La's artist in residency program.

Also featured at this artistic display are personal works of art produced by none other than Doris Duke. Her personal collection has been on tour for over two years. It was shown nationally at various art venues to commemorate the birth of this great artist. The artwork has finally arrived back in its home base of Honolulu and The Honolulu Museum of Art is proud to have Doris Duke's Shangri La: Architecture, Landscape and Islamic Art on display.

Entertainment and Artwork Go Hand in Hand at Artfest

Get a first-hand look at handcrafted artwork and collectibles from approximately 75-100 artists and artisans in the Waikiki Artfest. Wood products, stained glass, soaps, ceramics, clothing, jewelry, lauhala products, bags, candles, quilts, and much more are on display and for sale.

This event takes place Saturday and Sunday from 9 am-4 pm at the Waikiki Artfest. It is located at the Diamond Head of Waikiki, just across from the Honolulu Zoo. Celebrate the Arts of Hawaii at this cultural event. Live entertainment is scheduled for this event and an abundance of great food is also available for you to purchase. There are no admission costs to attend this event.

Get Your Toes Tapping to Hawaiian Salsa and Bachata

The majestic island of Hawaii is a tropical getaway for millions of tourists each year. Pristine beaches, outdoor activities, cultural events, and music heat things up. This February get your toes tapping at the 1st Annual Hawaii Salsa and Bachata Congress. It is being held in the heart of Waikiki from February 26th to March 1st, 2015.

Enjoy One-Of-A-Kind Festival at WANDERLUST OAHU

Renowned speakers, teachers, and top musical acts are just some of the participants in the WANDERLUST. This one-of-a-kind festival also features top chefs and winemakers, and much, much more. The event is sponsored by Turtle Bay and has provided some of the marketing materials for this event. Turtle Bay has agreed upon being committed to this venture for a period of five years and will consult with WANDERLUST on which marketing material to use for this one-of-a-kind festival.

Be Entertained by SEAN NAAUAO

Slack Key guitarist and vocalist, composer and producer, Sean Naauao entertains the audience with free Hawaiian entertainment. This prestigious recording artist has won Hawaii's prestigious Na Hoku Hanohano Awards multiple times including Island Contemporary Album of the Year. One of these awards was for his popular “Fish and Poi”. Frank Hewitt's traditional Hawaiian composition, “Kapilina,” became a famous hit, due to the exquisite vocal talent of Sean Naauao.

Musical Performances by KUUIPO KUMUKAHI

Kuuipo Kumukahi offers a free concert for music lovers. This Hawaiian musician, recording artist and composer has won many awards for her contribution to the Hawaiian music industry. She is currently the president of the Hawaii Academy of Recording Arts and is also associated with the Hawaiian Music Hall of Fame.

Free Concert Performances by KAWIKA TRASK & FRIENDS

The Royal Grove at the Royal Hawaiian Center comes alive as Kawaika Trask & Friends perform a free concert. The show starts at 6 pm and features these entertainers singing a variety of Hawaiian songs.
