Another worthy place to visit in Alexandria is Midan tahrir, which is also popularly called Manshiya. This region was once the home to Diplomats and was called Place Des Consuls. The place between Al Horreya and el-Nabi holds great importance in Alexandria, as it is considered the burial place of Alexander the Great. According to historians, near to this place, the famous Alexandria Library was once located. One can also visit Mosque of Nebi Daniel here or the Greek necropolis in the proximity. He holds a great historic importance for the country, the city has preserved the many monuments, structures and interesting statues that takes one back to the era of Pharos and Cleopatra. The Canopic Way, the Gate of the Sun and the Gate of the Moon are few other intriguing places to visit in the Al Horreya area.
