During April 1-9 come experience the Hawaii Film Festival Spring Showcase, it is dedicated to advancing, understanding and cultural exchange among the peoples of Asia, the Pacific and North America by presenting films from around the world. There will be thirty films over ten days at the Regal Dole Cannery Stadium 18.

April 1, 8, 15, 22 & 29 is Thumbelina based on the popular fairytale about a tiny girl born from a flower who ventures into a new world filled with wonder, this original telling of the story will use technology, puppets and original artwork to create a real time storybook before your eyes. In a world where the small becomes larger than life, the value of friendship, family and the power of a good story are the most powerful magic.

April 7-9 is Kawaii Kon, a convention that celebrates Japanese cartoons, comics, and all facets of Japanese culture. They offer a variety of events and activities throughout the weekend. At the Hawaii Convention Center in Honolulu.

On April 8, come experience Makapuu -Twilight Concert Series bringing Hawaii's favorite music artists to one of O'ahu's most memorable venues. 5pm-10pm at Sea Life Park in Waimanalo.

On April 9 the LPGA Lotte Championship will be held At Ko Oliina Golf Club. It is the sixth annual event of the LPGA Tour's stop in the Hawaiian Islands featuring a star-studded field of marquee pros.

Another event happening on April 9th is the 6th Annual Hapalua it is a 13-mile course, which travels from Waikiki to downtown Honolulu and back, loops around Diamond Head and ends at Kapiolani Park, the traditional finish line of the Honolulu Marathon.

Na Mele O Ko Olina hosts some of Hawaii's best Slack Key and 'Ukulele musicians on April 15, as well as 40 Hawaiian artists who display their artwork for sale. 9am-5pm at the Marriott Ko Olina Beach Club.

On April 16 there will be the big Easter Brunch & Egg Hunt at Waimea Valley on the north shore. Two-seatings: one at 10am and one at noon.

On April 16, you can enjoy the Star of Honolulu Easter Cruise, guests can indulge in a delicious Taste of Hawaii Buffet with a “champagne” toast. Plus, enjoy hands-on Hawaiian culture activities of lei making and hula and ukulele lessons.

16th Annual Lanikai Triathlon 2017 takes place on April 23. This road triathlon is fast and fun. 500 meters swim, 10mi bike, 3.5mi run. Race start, finish and transition area is Kailua Beach Park, behind Kalapawai Market.

Another event taking place on April 23 is the Leeward Coast Guitars, patrons can experience an afternoon of guitar ensembles, duets and solos. 4-5:30pm at The Leeward Theatre, 96-045 Ala 'Ike, Pearl City.
