Livigno is famous for its Skieda – International Telemark Festival in Livigno and this year is no different. Lovers of Telemark skiing, gather in Livigno in their thousands for this amazing event. This year marks the 21stanniversary of the festival in Livigno taking place between the 21st and 28th March.

What can you expect from the Event?
Well first off, its jam packed with activities for both adults and kids alike, every day and every hour! Here's just a taste of what you can expect!
- Welcome Party – every year, LA SKIEDA has an awesome 'Welcome Party' on Saturday 21st March. All telemarkers are welcomed to the party that starts at 5pm. There's live music, you can meet up with all your friends who are just as passionate about free heel skiing as you are.
- Expo – the sponsors of the 21st LA SKIEDA get together at Plaza Placheda in Livigno on Saturday, Sunday and Monday 21, 22 and 23 March to unveil all the latest technical equipment, clothing for all you telemarking, ski mountaineering and freeriding fans!
- Gala Dinner – on Sunday 22 March from 8 p.m., Plaza Placheda will host the unmissable Gala Dinner, which theLivigno Chefs and Patissiers Group have renamed 'Saor da Skieda' which means flavours of Skieda. You'll be in for a treat as this year's dinner is themed around the 'poor' local cuisine of the early 1900s. That's pretty awesome! Taste the modern flavours of years gone by. There's even been a book created to pass on the food and wine traditions of the region, which means they will never be forgotten. You can expect buckwheat flour, corn flour, milk, turnips, boiled meat, potatoes and apples all masterfully pulled together to create something truly special.
- Sunrising – get those muscles into shape with this special 'Sunrising' event, held on Monday 23March on the Passo D'Eira. Start your day out in the best possible way, warming up those muscles for a day out on the snow. It starts at 6am
- Cultural Evening – right throughout the event, there will be heaps of cultural evenings where expert telemarkers, photographers, film makers, writers and poets will put on a magical show for you.
- Trepallina – another famous event, which is a barbeque party on the snow and fans look forward to this every year. It will be sure to delight as it's held in the awesome setting of Vallaccia. Free food and drink for all fans that are registered with LA SKIEDA.
- Telemark Festival – want to show off your talent, well this is the festival for you, called the 'Comics got Talent' where you can show off what you're made of. The perfect place to shine.
- Fire Party- this is one special event to look forward to, which includes dinner on the snow, with fire and live music.
- Classic Kids Race – this is a classic telemark kid's race! The kids will love it.
- Epoque Race – an absolute classic where the best telemarker teams from around the world race down the Dama Biance in period clothing and with period equipment. Fantastic and special event held on Friday 27 March. Not to be missed!
- Recycling Dinner – this is a traditional event dedicated to recycling. This is something that is very close to the hearts of telemarking, which is all about showing respect for the amazing surrounding nature and slopes that everyone skis down.
