Tea Museum – Munnar

We come across the Tea Museum at the renowned hill station Munnar, which is a beloved hill station in the south. The museum was established with an aim to narrate the history of the growth of tea plantations in this region. The museum also aims to educate the visitor about the processes involved in manufacturing tea.

Gavi

Gavi is a village which is approximately 40 kilometres away from Thekkady, which is another popular hill station. With an elevation of 1,036 metres, the village happens to be a renowned eco-tourism centre. If you are looking for an area for canoeing, trekking and birding, this is your paradise. However, the major highlight of Gavi is its rich wildlife. In this area, we come across creatures like leopards, tigers, sambar, Malabar giant squirrel, Nilgiri langur and bears.

Periyar Tiger Reserve – Thekkady

Declared as a national park in 1982, the park stretches over 925 sq. kilometres. Regarded amongst the world's richest bio-diversity spots, the reserve is noted for housing both tigers and elephants. Inside the park we come across tropical evergreen and moist deciduous forests. Inside the park we also get to chase Nilgiri Tahr, jungle cat, wild pig, sambar and gaur.

Marari Beach – Mararikulam

A visit to this beach is marked by silence, making it a compelling visit. Walk on the wet sand as the waves hit your feet. Enjoy the sight of a setting sun right above the gushing waves. Another reason which this beach should be visited is that it was rated as one of the top five hammock beaches in the world by the National Geographic Survey.

Varkala Beach

One of the reasons why you should visit Varkala is that we can see the sea right from the cliff above. People believe that bathing in the beach's water washes away the sins, due to which the beach is also renowned as Papanasham beach. In the cliff close to the beach, we can fine numerous accommodation facilities and eateries which serve both food and all kinds of beverages.
