Every year hundreds of thousands of tourists visit Las Vegas in order to experience the entertainment capital of the world. They come here for the shows and food as well as the gambling, probably for the reason of seeing something as extreme as Las Vegas promises to be. One of the things that many who visit fail to realize is that you can actually visit one of the most extreme places on earth during your Las Vegas vacation, that area being Death Valley in southern California.

Death Valley is globally recognized as one of the hottest and driest places in the world, with temperatures easily exceeding 120 degrees in the summertime and almost no water at the same time. This has lead to a landscape that is otherworldly, and has to be seen to be believed. While it is not completely barren like you would expect, there are areas that are completely devoid of plants and animals for miles around. Making the tip from Las Vegas takes only a few hours, but you should probably not attempt to rent a car and do this trip on your own. Every year people unfamiliar with the area get into trouble because some roads are unmarked and unmapped by GPS, as well as constantly being changed by weather patterns. It is best left up to experienced tour guides who know the area to take you there.

When you arrange for a Death Valley tour from Las Vegas, the company is going to pick you up at your hotel room and transport you all the way to the park. They are going to arrange for you to be transported from area to area so that you do not have to worry about seeing the best parts. They are then going to provide you lunch and an opportunity to visit the Borax Museum and possibly buy some souvenirs. Then they will transport you back to your Las Vegas hotel room where you will be rested and ready for your night out on the town. Death Valley is within only a short trip from Las Vegas, so why not experience both of them during your next vacation?
